Is Serenity Ridge an all-inclusive wedding venue?
Yes! Your wedding package includes exclusive use of the property, on-site catering from Serenity Kitchen, and lodging for your closest friends and family — all in one weekend, all in one place. We also offer optional all-inclusive add-on packages if you'd love help with florals, photography, planning, and music too. Just ask us about it when you request your custom quote!
Where is Serenity Ridge located?
We're at 444 Delind Dr, Mill Spring, NC — tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains about 10 minutes from Lake Lure, 15 minutes from Chimney Rock, an hour from Asheville, and an hour from Greenville, SC. We’re close enough for convenience, but tucked away enough to feel like your own private mountain retreat.
Pricing + what's Included
How is your pricing structured?
Our pricing is straightforward and flexible. Your total investment includes two main ingredients: venue rental and catering. Venue rates vary based on the season and day of the week, while catering is customized to your guest count and menu choices. We’ll provide a personalized quote that reflects your vision, guest list, and taste—no hidden fees, just mountain views and good vibes.
Do you offer payment plans or require a deposit?
Yes! To reserve your wedding weekend at Serenity Ridge, we require a 25% deposit at the time of contract. From there, we’ll create a custom payment plan that works for you, with the final balance due two weeks before your big day. We aim to keep the planning stress-free from start to finish.
Are there seasonal or weekday discounts for mountain weddings?
Absolutely. If you're dreaming of a budget-friendly mountain wedding, our Winter season (December, January, February) offers our lowest rates, followed by Off-Peak season (March, July, August). May and October are our Signature months with the highest rates, while April, June, September, November, and holidays fall into Peak season. Weekday weddings (Tuesday–Thursday) save 20% off weekend pricing — perfect for couples who love a good deal with a great view.
Is Serenity Ridge an affordable wedding venue?
We believe affordability is about value, transparency, and experience. Serenity Ridge offers a full wedding weekend with private property access, on-site lodging, and customizable catering—features many venues price separately. Our goal is to make your investment feel clear, meaningful, and worth every moment.
When is peak and off-season at Serenity Ridge?
May and October are our most in-demand months — what we call Signature Season, and our highest rates reflect that incredible mountain color and mild weather. Peak season includes April, June, September, November, and holidays. For the budget-conscious, off-peak months of March, July, and August are great alternates. Embrace the winter months of December, January, and February for the best pricing. No matter when you choose, the mountains will be waiting, ready to give you a magical wedding to remember.
What's not included in Serenity Ridge pricing?
While we include many essentials in our basic pricing, some key wedding details are left to you — so you can personalize your day, your way! Serenity Ridge basic wedding packages do not include (but can!):
- Officiant
- Floral and décor
- DJ or live music
- Photographer or videographer
- Wedding planner or coordinator
- Cake or dessert (donuts and pie welcome!)
These items give you the freedom to bring in your favorite vendors and create a celebration that's truly yours.
Do you provide tables, chairs, linens, and plateware, or should we rent those separately?
We've got you covered! Serenity Ridge provides everything you need for a stylish and stress-free mountain wedding. Every event includes our handcrafted live-edge dining tables, elegant black X-back chairs, classic white plateware, silverware, and sleek black napkins—no extra rentals required.
How long do we have access to the property?
For weekend weddings, you'll have access to our exclusive event pavilion and ceremony area from midday Friday to midday Sunday — plenty of time for rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, decorating, setup, ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch.
Where does the wedding party get ready?
Our Hilltop House and Glamping Yurt are ideal getting-ready spots, no matter your wedding party's vibe. The Hilltop sunroom is a favorite for hair, makeup, and mimosas, while the Yurt is steps from the fire pavilion—perfect for hanging out, getting dressed, and squeezing in some lawn games before the ceremony. Both offer comfort, great lighting, and gorgeous views to start your day off right.
lodging
How many guests can stay on-site?
Up to 36 of your people can stay right on the property — across our cabins, our glamping yurt, and the Hilltop House. Waking up on the mountain the morning of your wedding is something every couple tells us they'll never forget.
What overnight accommodations does Serenity Ridge offer for weddings in the Blue Ridge Mountains?
We offer 8 unique vacation rentals so you and your favorite people can stay and celebrate all weekend long. Choose from:
- Six tiny home cabins—each with a private hot tub and space for up to 4 guests
- One luxury yurt—often reserved as a romantic honeymoon suite
- The Hilltop House—a spacious home that sleeps up to 10 and is perfect for gathering with your crew
Staying on-site means more time for fun, connection, and taking in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountain views!
Can we book the vacation rentals individually or do they come as a group package?
Either way works for us! All accommodations need to be reserved by your wedding guests, but you can choose to have each unit rented individually or bundled together on the master account.
If you'd like each guest to book and pay individually, just share a rooming list with us and we'll coordinate length of stay and payment with each guest directly. If you'd rather include the overnight stays on your master account, we'll still share specific unit information with each guest — and we'll offer you a discount on the group package.
What if we need more rooms than that?
No problem at all! Thanks to our location near Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, there are hundreds of additional rooming options nearby at every price point. We're happy to point your guests in the right direction — just ask.
Food + Drink
Who handles the catering?
We do! Our in-house team crafts every menu from scratch, tailored to your tastes and your story. We hear "this is the best wedding food I've ever had" almost every single weekend, and honestly, we take a lot of pride in that.
Will Serenity Ridge provide customizable catering options for my wedding?
Yes! Our talented chef is ready to work his culinary magic to create a menu that's perfectly tailored to your tastes and preferences. Whether you're dreaming of a specific cuisine, dietary requirements, or have a list of must-have dishes, just let us know and we'll make it happen. Check out our Catering Menu to get an idea of our offerings!
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergy needs?
Absolutely! Because your wedding is our only focus, we are committed to creating the perfect menu for you and your guests - including any dietary restrictions and allergies. Let's talk about your options!
DO YOU HAVE A FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUM?
We do have a minimum food and beverage spend that varies based on your guest count and season. The good news is, we're extremely flexible with how it is spent! Easily add on a rehearsal dinner, welcome s'more party or day after brunch to meet your minimum spend.
CAN WE HOST OUR REHEARSAL DINNER AND FAREWELL BRUNCH ON SITE?
Of course! The venue is yours to use as you wish through the weekend. We find that guests appreciate the time to relax and enjoy their stay without worrying about traveling to/from events hosted off-property.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes! We're located in a dry county, so you supply the alcohol and our team handles the rest — setup, service, and cleanup. It works out wonderfully for everyone, especially your bar tab.
The Big Day (and the Whole Weekend)
What happens if it rains?
We've got you covered, literally. Our open-air pavilion is a stunning rain backup — wooden ceilings, chandeliers, and those same mountain views, just under cover. Plenty of our favorite weddings have happened on rainy days, and they were no less magical.
Can our dog be part of the wedding?
Absolutely! Dogs are welcome all weekend long here - we know they're family too.
Are we the only wedding happening that weekend?
Yes! When you book Serenity Ridge, the entire 25-acre property is exclusively yours from Friday through Sunday. No other events, no strangers, just your people.
Who will be there to help us on the wedding day?
Our team — the same people you've been talking to since you booked — is on-site the whole weekend to make sure everything goes smoothly. We're a hands-on, family-run venue, and that's not just a tagline. We genuinely care about how your weekend goes.
Vendors + entertainment
Do you have preferred vendors?
We do, and we're happy to share our favorites whenever you're ready. From florals to photography to entertainment, we've built relationships with vendors we trust completely.
Can we use outside vendors?
Yes, you're welcome to bring in your own vendors too. If you have questions about a specific vendor, just ask — we're happy to help you think it through.
Planning + Logistics
How far in advance should we book?
Our most popular dates — especially spring and fall weekends — tend to book 12-18 months out. If you've found your date, we'd love to help you lock it in.
Can rideshares pick up or drop off at Serenity Ridge?
Rideshares can usually drop off here without trouble, but pickups can be unreliable given our location — we've had a number of scheduled rides cancel on us. We're happy to talk through transportation options for your guests when you're planning.
Still have questions? We'd love to hear them. Reach out anytime — we promise we're easy to talk to, and we genuinely love getting to know every couple who reaches out.
